01 — What this can look like
Not a diagnosis
Most people recognise three or four of these.
Anxiety rarely announces itself. It usually shows up as a set of small habits you have stopped noticing.
You lie down, and your mind speeds up.
You cancel, then feel worse for having cancelled.
You plan for outcomes that never arrive.
You read the message four times before sending it.
Your chest is tight before you know why.
You are exhausted and wired at the same time.
You don’t have to be able to explain it before you start.

03 — How we work with it
Three ways in, depending on what anxiety is actually doing to you.
You don’t need to know which one you want. Working that out is part of the first conversation.
Cognitive Behavioural
When the thoughts are the problem
We look at the predictions your mind keeps making, test them against what actually happens, and build a different habit of attention.
Acceptance and Commitment
When avoidance has taken over
Rather than arguing with anxiety, we make room for it — so it stops quietly deciding where you go and what you say yes to.
Compassion-Focused
When you are hard on yourself for it
For anxiety tangled up with self-criticism. We work on the tone of the voice you use on yourself when it flares.
04 — How I work
Four principles
The first session is mostly listening.
Nothing is decided in advance, and you can stop after any point. This is the shape it usually takes for anxiety.
01
The free call
Fifteen minutes to say what is happening in your own words. No notes are taken and nothing follows unless you want it to.
Phone or video
02
Session one
We map where anxiety actually shows up in your week, and what you have already tried on your own.
50 minutes
03
Weeks two to six
We start with one situation rather than all of them. This is usually where people notice the first change.
Usually weekly
04
Reviewing it
Around session six we look honestly at whether this is helping, and decide together what happens next.
Openly, not by default
